About
Meet Katie Hughes
I have 23 years of experience working with tamariki & taiohi & their whānau; supporting them with their lived experiences whether it be trauma, relationships or understanding themselves & how they fit in the world. For the past 15 years I have been supporting youth workers on their journey to discover what they have to offer to the youth & community sector.
As Tangata Tiriti I am committed to uphold my obligations to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi & I am passionate about supporting others on their journey in exploring their own commitments & obligations.
I facilitate supervision in a way that reflects the principles of Mana Taiohi. I am affiliated to Korowai Tupu the Professional Association for Youth Work in Aotearoa, I am passionate about youth workers becoming qualified & accredited.
Services
What I offer
I provide professional supervision for people working with rangatahi and their whānau, face-to-face in Nelson or online across Aotearoa. Supervision is a chance to reflect on your mahi, unpack experiences, explore strengths and challenges, and connect your knowledge to practice. You lead each session, leaving you inspired, energized, and resourced for the work ahead.
